[a] Punching machine for cropping ventilation slots in plastic extrusions.

The offline punching machine is loaded with a quantity of extrusion lengths for punching various size ventilation slots in a conservatory plastic extrusion.
A Toshiba servo linear robot with its gripper will locate the extrusion end and transfer the extrusion thru the various slotting punches. The robot moves the extrusion with fast and accurate movements to punch 84 slots at the required pitch.

 

The full system designed and supplied by AMT including the Toshiba linear robot, in-feed conveyors, crop tools, hydraulics and guarding. The machine is consistently punching slots in extrusions to a high quality standard with reliability. A unique application needing special design for the variants to meet the fast cycle times.

[b] Punching machine for piercing slots in airbag extrusions.

The inline punching machine is punching various piercing slots at various pitches in an extrusion for car side airbags. The machine is programmed for many slot pitch variants and a special servo driver provides the extrusion transport thru the punch network to punch at the required pitch.
