Grant for Music
"The Rhydycroesau Projects Group" has ben awarded a grant of £6,000.00 from the Local Network Fund to provide a new piano and equipment to set up a Music Group for students up to the age of 21 in the Village Hall.
Mrs. Jean Blake, a qualified music teacher, is the group organizer and will coach the students in performing for concerts. They will take part in music workshops and have regular rehearsals. Young children will be encouraged to take part and music students under 21 are invited to become involved in this venture. Please contact Ray Pinder for further information.
This new group will become part of Rhydycroesau's expanding village culture and thanks to the Local Network Fund grant, both performers and those who come to hear them will benefit.
The Rhydycroesau Illustrated Maps
were launched on the 8th May 2004. The 2 maps show local walks and the footpaths within the "Working Woodland" owned and developed by the Room family. Copies of the maps are available from the Village Post Office, Oswestry Heritage Centre and the Mile End Tourist Information Centre.
